 | Named for its toothy grill, the Shark was designed and built in Calgary by Tom Kolman. The Shark is made of 18 gauge hammered steel, on a 1972 Cadillac DeVille chassis, and is powered by a 472 CID engine. The cockpit is from an MG Midget, but don’t let the name fool you: the Shark measures over 17 feet, bumper-to-bumper and weighs-in at over 4000 pounds. The Shark is the only one of its kind: a second one was started, and photographs of the construction can be seen at http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/8645/ but the second car was never completed.
